These have been developed over a period of 20 years as the rule sets available that were at that time did not give the ability to refight historical battles with any type of historical accuracy. Whilst developing the Rules we did look at a number of newer Rule sets but again they were just the same old same old, with nothing radical or different despite claims to the opposite. We believe that these Wargames Rules offer a newer and refreshing way to game, whether they be games with a couple of hundred miniatures aside or literally thousands of miniatures. Its up to you. The games played offer a way to see how troops actually fought and don’t have the “supermen approach”. Older gamers will recall sets of rules where certain Roman Infantry were armed with heavy throwing weapon, javelins, dart, swords, kitchen sink and shields and were invincible.

The Rules are easy to understand, quick to pick up and don’t offer Rule Lawyers any a chance to ply their trade of quoting obscurity and twisting points to their advantage. We were able to refight Cannae as at display game at the Claymore, Border Reiver and Battle Ground Wargames show’s and achieved the historical result every time, despite the Roman’s trying to cheat !!!!.
